Longtime community volunteer and former city councilman A.C. Strip has been selceted as the Grand Leprechaun for the Dublin St. Patrick’s Day celebration. Strip also collects cameras and has more than 300 of them.

Gene Kindt, 66, displays one of the perch that he caught while ice-fishing in the bay of South Bass Island.  Kindt is a native of the island and has ice-fished for the past 56 years.

Gene Damschroder, 79, served as a U.S. Navy pilot from 1942 to 1946.  He poses in front of  the AT6 Texan, a plane that was used to train pilots during World War II.

Bob Beard of Martin, Tenn, reads on the bed of his truck in the Drawbridge Marina parking lot as he waits for his charter fishing boat to arrive.  Beard is a .22 rifle coach at Camp Perry and has come to Port Clinton during the summer off and on since 1965.

Don Dodrill, 82, poses with his artwork outside of the Upper Arlington Municipal Building.  Dodrill is one of the founding fathers of the UA Labor Day Arts Festival, which started in 1966.
B. Moffo of the Columbus Fire Department reflects on their training for the day at 4545 Coach Road in Upper Arlington.  The four departments worked on search and rescue training as well as "Saving our Own" training.
